Review/Study Workshops of the four modules of the Certified Lodging Security Officer (CLSO)

Certified Lodging Security Officer (CLSO) Study Modules

Today's hospitality security officers must have the confidence and knowledge to handle challenging emergencies and make quick decisions with sound judgment. Our national security and safety risk levels are at an all-time high, making it imperative that our security officers be equipped with the proper knowledge to provide our establishment, guests, and employees with the safety they deserve. 

Sessions are open to any hospitality professional wishing to improve their knowledge in Security. Attendance at these workshops does not guarantee certification. Those wishing to pursue the certification will apply directly with AHLEI and are subject to eligibility requirements and approval.

Associates of Professional Development

The Four Modules Covered Include:

  • Lodging Security overview
  • Routine Security Activities
  • Handling Misdemeanors and Felonies
  • Handling Emergencies, Threats, Evacuations, and Fires

A CLSO lapel pin and certificate are awarded by AHLEI to those that successfully pass their exam.


AHLEI awards a CLSO lapel pin and certificate to those that successfully pass their exam.

*The AHLEI reserves exclusive rights to all professional certifications. These workshops are independently offered as a review/study session to prepare the CLSO designation that AHLEI may only award upon successful passing of their exam. APD and AHLEI are not mutually affiliated, sponsored, or endorsed.
